Women Chiefs of Enterprises International (WCEI)
We are so grateful to have brought together Women Chiefs of Enterprises International (WCEI) with some of Queensland’s most incredible women in diverse businesses and industries, Sandra King, Eche Desire, Noelani Osueke, Noelani Amarachi, Sita Nabizada, and Esperance Barahinyuza, to sponsor and attend the FCEM World Congress in Sydney!
This year’s theme, "Connecting the Dots: Women Leading Globally", inspired us all.
We can’t wait to see the growth and impact that comes from this experience as they continue to lead and thrive!"
Lively and inspiring, Spinifex Gum is a unique collaboration that shines a spotlight on the Yindjibarndi people of the Pilbara, from the iconic Sydney Opera House to the vast Outback. Accompanied by stunning visuals, the choir addresses issues of injustice, disenfranchisement, and industrialisation, all while celebrating the spirit of the region. It’s a heartfelt homage to the Pilbara and its vibrant communities.
WOW Australia is proud to have supported two young women of the Spinifex Gum on their journey to London.
‘The performance was so much more than a gig’ declares Xpress Magazine. ‘It was young Aboriginal women stepping front of stage. They told their stories with strength, and even with raised fists they left with a feeling of grace… a must see, musically, culturally, politically, and spiritually’. The Adelaide Review agrees: ‘This is the Australia we live in, and it needs sharp, life-affirming protest songs like Spinifex Gum’s more than ever’.

WOW SCHOOLS DAY ‘24
WOW School’s Day ’24: A Record-Breaking Celebration of Young Changemakers! 🎉
Last Friday, WOW Australia made history with our biggest-ever WOW School’s Day! With an impressive turnout of over 18 schools, 120 mentors, and 180 students, WOW School’s Day ‘24 offered an unforgettable day of empowerment and inspiration, aligned with the UN International Day of the Girl Child. Hosted in partnership with the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), the event was a milestone in our commitment to ignite potential and inspire action among young leaders.
Empowering Minds with WOW Big Ideas 💡
One of the highlights was the WOW Big Ideas panel, featuring renowned host Natasha Mitchell from ABC Radio National. Natasha facilitated conversations with Australia’s boldest young changemakers, focusing on what it takes to bring impactful ideas to life. From navigating challenges to honing essential skills, students learned firsthand about creating change and building resilient communities.

With powerful conversations, interactive workshops, and live performances, WOW School’s Day ’24 was an empowering, life-changing experience for everyone involved. We’re proud to have set the stage for the next generation of changemakers – the future truly looks bright!
