WOW GIVING PROGRAM

WOW GIVING PROGRAM

We have ambitious plans for the growth of WOW - Women of the World in communities throughout Queensland and elsewhere in Australia with regional festivals and events, partnerships with City based cultural institutions and expanding our digital program.

But we can’t do it without the support of our wonderful WOW community that we have built around us over the past 7 years; those who have experienced WOW and recognise the impact the movement has on the individuals and communities that have been involved. We acknowledge this community as active supporters of change, who recognise that cultural and creative activity, story making, and truth telling through the WOW model of festivals and events, is a powerful tool to change narratives and create real social impact.

So, we have created a unique opportunity for you to strengthen your relationship with us; to ensure we continue to deliver impact and for you to be part of a community of passionate, connected women, who help guide our journey towards a more gender just world!

Because without you we simply cannot continue to shine!

Constellation of Stars

Find your place in our Constellation of Stars

Over the next 12 months we wish to find 100 individual women who are able to commit investment and guidance to the future of the WOW movement in Australia for a minimum of $1,000 a year for three years and $10,000 a year from smaller Trusts, Foundations and our partner organisations to become the superstars of our constellation!

You will become a Principal Supporter of WOW in Australia alongside the Queensland government, corporate sponsors and larger Foundations who choose to invest in specific activities. And you will have demonstrated to other partners that WOW is wanted, needed and extremely impactful!

We will create networking opportunities through our events for the constellation members who wish to find real ways to economically empower more women and girls, combat the impact of digital technologies, stop the epidemic of domestic violence and sexual abuse, and who seek tools to create change to the everyday misogyny and sexism that still exists in our communities including bringing men and boys into these conversations. You will become a network of interconnected leaders in this area of change making.

As communities have done across the globe for millennia, we will seek guidance from our constellation, through an annual gathering or ‘Think In’ to help establish our future directions and consider ideas for specific programs that may be of interest to constellation members.

You will learn more about the global WOW movement, the global vision and ambition and become part of that journey with us, including connections with and opportunities to visit other global WOW events.

You will receive the first opportunity to be part of our speed mentoring programs for young girls and women as well as invites of course to all our events.

But most of all, you will know that you will have helped create positive change:

  • Empowering women, girls and non-binary folk

  • Building stronger more cohesive and inclusive communities of place and people

  • Changing the institutions working with us through improved organisational gender policies and practices

And more and more increasing the numbers of men and boys engaged with us and actively pursuing gender equality through their professional and personal lives
