Faiza el Higzi

Director

Dr. Faiza El-Higzi OAM is a political scientist, academic  and recognised social advocate for her work as a social change expert. She sits on the Queensland Domestic and Family Violence Implementation Council and the Multicultural Council. Her professional experience includes strategic policy at both state and federal levels and refugee advocacy.

Currently Faiza is the chair of Ethnic Broadcasting Association Queensland.  Sitting on a number of other community organisation boards, Faiza works to build institutional capacity and promote social inclusion.

Internationally, Faiza has worked with community organisations and academic institutions to build capacity and raise awareness of the intersection of gender rights and cultural norms. Faiza holds a number of postgraduate qualifications.
