Camille Serisier’s ‘Ladies of Oz’
Exhibition Opening Saturday, September 10.
Serisier delves into the archives for her upcoming exhibition ‘Ladies of Oz’. Intersecting art and women’s history ‘Ladies of Oz’ uncovers the lives and stories of four Australian women from the 19th century: Nina Eva Vida Jones (1882 – 1966), Alice Nicklin (1870-1951), Liela Perry (1868 – 1920), and Catherine Helen Spence (1825 – 1910). With the accessibility of information at the heart of the project, an edition of posters feature biographies on each respective woman, while short films bring their stories to life.
September 10 to October 22, 2016.
