Queensland Women: Be involved. Lead the way
In 2017 Queensland Women’s Week celebrations will be held from 6 to 12 March, and will include a state-wide series of events and activities.
The theme for the week is: Queensland Women: Be involved. Lead the way.
This theme encourages women and girls to participate, and pursue leadership roles, in their community and workplace.
Organisations are encouraged to apply for grants to deliver activities and events across Queensland’s urban, rural, regional and remote communities during Women’s Week 2017.
The Queensland Government are working with YWCA Queensland to deliver grants for events and activities that align with the theme and recognise and celebrate the achievements of all Queensland women.
Applications are now open for grants of up to $3,000.
A total of $150,000 funding is available.
Funded events and activities should offer opportunities for Queenslanders of all ages and linguistic and cultural backgrounds to join together in celebration.
For more information on eligible projects, please read the Grant Guidelines.
Applications close at 5pm on Friday 6 January 2017.
